Kokanee Run

Last weekend we took the kids to see the annual Kokanee salmon run at Strawberry Reservoir . We also stopped at Granny's in Heber , home of Utah's best shake. Granny must have passed on and took her recipe's with her. Not even close to what I remember. Ryanne and Ellie both loved seeing the fish.

Ryanne's Baptism

Ryanne was baptized on August 1st. We want to thank all of you who came. It really meant the alot to Lisa, Ryanne and myself. It was a very spiritual experience and we are thankful we have great friends and family to share occasions like this.

Hogle Zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo. We had so much fun we bought a year membership. It was a day of many firsts for Ellie. Her first trip to the zoo, first ride on a carousel and first time breaking the law. ( see rule number 5)

Last Saturday we took a ride on the Alpine loop. The canyon was packed. ( Memorial Day Weekend) We managed to find a picnic site near Tibble Fork Reservoir. The weather was great.

Ryanne had a great game

Ryanne's team won 6-5. The other team had a girl that was at least a foot taller than Ryanne. She could dribble around most of the field. The Strikers (Ryanne's team) only had eight players. Every girl on the team had to play the whole game with no breaks (60 minutes). Every time the other teams superstar would get on Ryanne's side of the field Ryanne would run up and steal the ball. She played her heart out. Ryanne plays in a league with 3rd and 4th graders. She's only in 2nd. Notice the size difference in some of the girls.

Hello everyone

I am going to attempt to do this blog thing. If you know me at all your expectations will not be high. If you don't know me, don't bother checking in often. I will go as many as 17 weeks without updating this. Sometimes the entries may long, sometimes short. Sometimes funny, sometimes not funny. Sometimes the entry isn't supposed to be funny but it is, in these cases please keep your laughter to yourself. I am very sensitive. I will try to use small words.
